What to expect

Personalized nutrition care that begins with listening.

Starting nutrition counseling should feel encouraging—not intimidating. You do not need to prepare perfect answers, follow a special diet, or make changes before your first appointment. Simply come as you are and be ready to share what you would like help with.

From our first conversation, your care will be centered around you. I will take time to understand your health history, eating habits, lifestyle, preferences, challenges, and goals. Together, we will identify realistic steps that feel manageable and meaningful.

A supportive, judgment-free experience

You will have a welcoming space to speak openly, ask questions, and discuss your concerns without fear of judgment. My role is not to lecture you or tell you everything you are doing wrong. My role is to listen, provide reliable guidance, and help you discover solutions that work in your everyday life.

Your care may include:

  • A detailed review of your health and nutrition history
  • Personalized nutrition recommendations
  • Collaborative and realistic goal setting
  • Meal-planning guidance and customized meal plans
  • Recipes, shopping lists, and educational resources
  • Healthy cooking and food-preparation support
  • Progress trackers and practical tools
  • Consistent communication between appointments
  • Ongoing adjustments as your needs and goals change

A partnership that moves at your pace

You will not be expected to change everything at once. We will build your plan gradually, celebrate your progress, learn from challenges, and make adjustments along the way. You will always have a voice in your care.

Whether you are managing a medical condition, working toward a healthier weight, improving your relationship with food, or simply trying to feel better, I am with you every step of the way.

Your first appointment

A thoughtful conversation focused on you.

Your initial appointment can last up to 90 minutes, or you may choose a shorter session based on your preferences. This time allows me to understand your health, nutrition needs, daily routine, challenges, and goals so we can begin creating a plan that truly fits your life.

Before your appointment

You do not need to follow a special diet, track everything you eat, or prepare perfect answers. If available, it may be helpful to have a current medication and supplement list, recent laboratory results, relevant medical information, and any questions you would like to discuss.

What we may discuss:

  • Your health history and current medical concerns
  • Medications, supplements, and recent laboratory results
  • Your typical meals, snacks, beverages, and eating patterns
  • Food preferences, allergies, intolerances, and cultural traditions
  • Your schedule, household, budget, and cooking experience
  • Hunger, appetite, cravings, digestive symptoms, and energy levels
  • Movement, sleep, stress, hydration, and other daily habits
  • Previous nutrition approaches and what has or has not worked for you
  • Your personal concerns, priorities, and goals

A conversation—not a test

There are no right or wrong answers. You can speak openly about your experiences without fear of criticism or judgment. I will listen carefully, answer your questions, and help you understand how nutrition may support your health.

Creating your personalized plan

We will work together to identify realistic priorities and practical next steps. Your plan may include nutrition recommendations, personalized goals, meal-planning strategies, recipes, shopping guidance, educational resources, progress trackers, or other tools based on your needs.

What you will leave with

By the end of your appointment, you will have a clearer understanding of where to begin and manageable actions you can start using in your everyday life. You will not be expected to change everything at once. We will build your plan gradually and adjust it as you move forward.
